In February
of 1999, Janet Lange, of Alberta, Canada, was involved in a terrible trucking
accident. “The accident left me
with a broken pelvis, crushed hips, damage to my tailbone, and severe knee
problems.”
Janet’s
doctors told her that the best she could hope for after recovery was the ability
to walk with a cane, most likely with a noticeable limp. She was counseled to accept that she
would have this disability for the rest of her life, and should learn to live
with it.
Rather than
being discouraged by the news, Janet became energized. She refused to accept that total
recovery was beyond her reach. “In
every way possible the accident changed my life. I viewed the whole recovery process as
an opportunity… the most important challenge I would ever
face.”
Despite
Janet’s indomitably positive attitude, the physical reality of her injuries took
its toll. The pain and discomfort
she was experiencing woke her up many times a night. Since Janet was uncomfortable taking
prescription sleep aids, she slowly sank deeper and deeper into
exhaustion.
Missing
Ingredient
“The
willpower was there,” Janet muses, “my attitude was right, but there still
seemed to be something missing… some piece of the puzzle I didn’t have yet. I asked for support and guidance from
the higher power within and was sent Nikken* to guide me through the rest of my
recovery.”
One and a
half years into her recovery process, Janet was introduced to Nikken by her
podiatrist, Dr. Wong Sing. The
products provided the additional physical support Janet needed to complete her
healing. “Nikken came into my life
at the perfect time,” Janet shares.
“I attribute my speedy recovery to the wellness technology
products.”
Janet went
on the whole nutrition program to help nourish and support her body’s healing
process. She also began drinking
PiMag water, walking on Magsteps, and sleeping on the Nikken Sleep System –
which meant that she was finally getting some much needed rest.
As Janet
learned more about Nikken’s philosophies, she realized that Nikken was the
missing piece in other areas of her life as well. “I discovered that having
balance in the 5 Pillars of health is our right as spiritual beings.” Janet
shares.
Today, Janet
walks just fine. She plays Frisbee
with her dog and takes her granddaughter on long walks to the beach. “I credit my success to not quitting
when all seemed lost. I used my
experience to motivate me and managed to find the silver lining in a black
cloud. “
*Nikken is an
