REGARDING RESULTS OF THE STUDY FOR 1994/1995

I would like to summarize the results of the program in the years 1994 and 1995 here.

This was the beginning of the Magnetic Science Foundation's furtherance as a major enterprise. We believe that our work is beginning to bear fruit, and we can now appreciate the visible results of our efforts.

In addition, it has been a gratifying time for the researchers, now that the world is taking notice of these studies.

Now I would like to comment on the mission of the Foundation and its activities. This is described in the mission statement created at the establishment of the foundation:

We look forward to long and healthy lives. And the role of magnetic fields in our lives is now beginning to receive the attention that it deserves. In many countries abroad as well as here in Japan, the study of this phenomenon has already made much progress, particularly in the development of health and medical instruments and in the use of magnetic therapy.

However, to a great extent, we still must keep in mind that the field of magnetics is still relatively unexplored. And as such, it is our responsibility as forerunners in the field to promote further research in order to study its effects, particularly on living things.

With further research into the nature of the nature of magnetism has come much improvement in magnetic science technology, and many innovations that have helped to improve the lives of many in our rapidly aging society. The Magnetic Health Science Foundation was established for the explicit purpose of supporting research and promoting further study in magnetism. Moreover, it exists to support technological research and to study, collect and promote the economic development of society as this relates to magnetic technology.

The foundation's goals are:

(1) support basic and practical study in magnetic health science.

(2) support technological research and study in magnetic health science.

(3) collect and provide information on issues related to magnetic health science.

(4) work to heighten social awareness in magnetic health science.

(5) perform other activities necessary for the accomplishment of its purposes.

This presentation is a result of the studies in furtherance of No. 1 above.

We pursued these studies in order to present our findings to the world.
